Job Portals vs WhatsApp Groups vs Walk-ins: Which Actually Gets You Hired in Tier-2 India?
Each channel works for a different kind of job. Here is when to use a portal, when a WhatsApp group is faster, and when a walk-in is the only thing that works — with a weekly routine that combines all three.

Best for: office roles, IT, banking, anything with a formal HR process. Why: the posting has requirements and salary written down, and your application is a record the employer can revisit. WhatsApp and Telegram groups
Best for: retail, hospitality, delivery, field sales, contract staffing, urgent replacements. Why: the person posting is usually the one who decides. Best for: manufacturing shop floor, security, housekeeping, drivers, BPO mass hiring. Why: the HR wants to see you, and the vacancy count is large. How to win: arrive before 10 a.m., carry five printed resumes, originals and copies of your ID and certificates, and a passport photo.
A weekly routine that works
